Mrs has one booked for test ride mainly for extended bikepacking trip then as do it all UK bike. Mrs Marin is about 5ft 2 ish so I thought 29er may be too big for shorties but dont own one so no experience. Any real world experiences from owner riders. Thanks.

I looked at them, and was tempted. Two things stopped me:
- oddball rear hub spacing
- it is quite 'old' geometry, and I was keen to try a bit slacker

My son has a 29er and loves it. When this pic was taken he was under 5'

@ richpips, how tall is your boy if they're 29" wheels?
My 6 year old looks the same proportions on his 20" wheeled bike.
