It took me a moment to work out what was wrong with this bike

I think his definition of "restored" is a little different to mine. Every one of those systems has been messed up, in some cases in more than one way.

Is he thinking of opening a bike shop?

Fork crown is the wrong way around.

Kudos to him for doing the “forks on backwards” thing in a completely new way.

so presume he's taken the forks off the bike, stripped them, and put the lowers back on back to front? How else could he he have managed it? Christ alone knows what he did to them while he had them apart.

It's not completely new. I... ummmm.... know someone who fitted the lowers backwards once. However, it's pretty obvious that there's something wrong pretty quickly.

Didn’t pinkbike do it for the grim donut, as a way of reducing fork offset even further?

A nice picture of a frayed brake cable as well. Utter death trap.

Rebuilding the forks but backwards is inspired.

Maybe somebody on Facebook could message him and point out that things are usually done differently? It’s just possible he could sell that bike to a novice who doesn’t know any better and muight not realise how dangerous it is.
