[#10114117]

Just got a new set of Newmen wheels and there is something ( small and metal) in the rim cavity. Rolls freely when the wheel turns.

Whats best way to get it out? Don’t want to leave I as it’s annoying, but don’t want to send them back.

Ta.

Can you see it though the valve hole? Use tweezers, or magnet if steel, to get it out?

Could be a spoke nipple - easyvto drop one on whilat building the wheel. I got 2 in my first wheel. Spent quite a lot of time faffing - I hung the wheel up on rope with the valve hole at the bottom and spent a while fishing them out. If it’s alloy nipples the magnet won’t work - and I don’t think brass nipples are very magnetic either.

Use expanding foam and claim you have new Vibrocore rims?

Filling them with glue/foam is starting to seem like a good idea. Grrr........

Phew. Got it. A flake of solder from the looks of it.

Thanks for the help and the piss taking. Both helped.
