Just like surfers seek the perfect wave, mountainbikers seek the perfect trail. Sometimes the ride, the trail, the friends, the weather, become greater than the sum of its parts.
Helvellyn summer solstice tonight was all the ingredients mixed perfectly.

Cannot remember any tyre buzz on my ass and I would have known as I went #bikecommando due to the heat the pic as ever hides the steepness and looseness heading down towards Sticks Pass

Either that's a lot steeper than it looks or your WAY too far back on the bike!

Which blood letting crash was this before?

It was a great ride up Helvellyn and the weather wasn't too unkind

Just to prove I was out last night: I was expecting a lovely summer evening, but it was super humid and cloudy, with several showers. Still good to be out of course.
