[#864652]

I need a new UST front tyre after putting a hole in my LUST High Roller yesterday.

2.35 or 2.4in wide and soft compound.

Do Maxxis make a super tacky HR now? Anyone know where to buy one? And are there any others I should consider?

how soft do you want?

other than that, to be UST aswell as soft you'll need a minion DHF

You can get a High Roller in UST, soft compound 2.35" without being lust.
I can't remember where I found it, but I've got a silkworm one, 2.35", super tacky, cost under £30. Was some obscure website though.
Quick google produces this;

Been running on the back of my Meta 6 for 6 months with no problems, seems better than what I've heard of LUST as well, also sub 1kg.

It's to replace that tyre, wanted something a bit softer (and thicker) instead.

Seems ST HRs may have been discontined, but I hadn't thought of a Minion, could be just what the doctor ordered. Ta.

That was to Pinches.

Timbercombe - Thanks but it says page no longer exists. I couldn't get Google shopping to offer me any UST ST HRs.

Oops sorry! If all else fails I'd highly recommend 2.2" Rubber Queen UST, marginally bigger than HR, much better sidewall than lust, better weight, great grip.

Cheers guys. I'm wary of the Rubber Queen, as I have a UST Mountain King and it's a bit of a rubbish compound. The ads for the RQ all say it is the (good) black chili one, but I know there's been some doubts expressed on here.

GW - Ta, do you know if those dual ply ones are super heavy as well as super tacky?

of course they are heavy, they're DH tyres! 😛 1200-1300g at an educated guess.
I just use standard dual ply with sealant on my 823
hear a lot of complaints about ust ones ripping near the bead in DH conditions
