Need advice on comfort, support and wicking. Cost not an issue here, comfort is on long days out in upto 37c and humid

Three cycling specific socks available in my size where I reside:

Shimano
CEP (German made) compression 3.0
Merino wool.

Pricing ranges from £13-16 /pair and I see them as a good investment.

Anyone any experience or advice?

my personal experience in living in a hot and humid climate is that merino wool (any wool) is not great for any garment.

for cycling socks, i’d go with a polyester blend.

Can you find any Coolmax socks (possibly widen your search to include suitable non cycling specific)?

Couldn't find an coolmax in my size except cold weather hiking socks. I'll leave the wool ones alone then.

I stumbled on some high Shimano socks for £5.50/pair so will try them first (cycle shop, so may not be fake), then maybe move onto runners' compression socks. Last summer my feet were sore with sweat. Don't want that again.

I've some cheap MoreMile running socks in a coolmax-alike fabric.
Absolutely brilliant in hot weather, apart from they do get a bit pongy.

Defeet aireator socks are available where I am, but only in S-L, and I need XL.

I'm also more than slightly horrified by their colour schemes.
