😀

In the spares box are a set of 29er wheels (non-boost), bars, stem and a single speed tensioner. Any frames and/or rigid forks should I look out for? E.g. Kona Unit, On One Inbred...

Pics of Pub/hack/built-from-spares bikes also appreciated for inspiration to see what I could potentially build....

Pub?

Then you need an autonomous quad eBike for the return journey.

29 wheels and cross / road tyres will fit in a 26 frame .
Get thyself down the tip.

How far's the pub? Cheapest, most rubbish looking bike wins.

When I lived in Stockholm one of my friends used an ex-Swedish army bike - cheap, unfashionable, weighed a ton - on the basis that no-one would bother stealing it and he didn't care if they did (bike probably cost the same as a couple of pints in Sweden).

Aye, cheapest bike you can find on gumtree, with a basket for kebab and 4 pint pin of ale from pub, to wash the kebab down.

I'd be looking for the cheapest 29" or even 650b frame I could find and the associated rigid fork.
Brand-X frame for £112 is a new option but I suspect I'd be looking second hand for an even cheaper option.

There's normally an SS Inbred 29er frame going on ebay if your lucky it'll have some forks and a headset with it, saving you more searching...

I gave a mate a lift home from the pub once on my pub/hack bike. We were both a little worse for wear

He kept falling off the saddle onto the back wheel, must have done it 6 times at least

Cycled back to the kebab shop for a quick bite to eat, it's about a mile away slightly uphill

It was SS so definitely need to stand to get us both up the hill, plus the saddle was taken

Checked my bike the next day, wheel was rather buckled...! Managed to fix it with a spoke key thankfully
