Some of you must have been using a king bb for a while-everything you dreamed of?

Yup 18months old and failed last weekend ;-( Will be on its way back to the US next week. Other than that its been fault free and silky smooth for the last 18 months and several thousand SS miles.

PS Rich how did you know about that?

fonty.

Ask the 'tollah about how it was over/under tightened with his raceface cranks. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh and don't forget he's an "engin ear". ๐Ÿ˜†

It wasn't over/under tightened at all! Shimano do have a better preloading system though! Hence running sn xtr crank o the king bb rather than the raceface!

Mines 12 months old and still running sweetly. Serviced it after 8 months of use and had no problems.

it has a handy squeek that develops as soon as its a bit on the dry side.

Sorry seems I got it wrong about a raceface crank being anywhere near a king bb.

18months old & no problems. obviously you shouldnt over preload the bearings. that said I've jet washed the hell out of mine & as long as its regreased it wont be a problem (4days of multiple jet washes in leogang, regreased when I returned home)
