Dorking: occasional random flakes falling, town and roads all clear but plenty of snow on the hills and slopes (not deep but plenty of coverage and the woods are beautiful). Yesterday on Leith Hill our SPDs became ice balls, my gears froze up and the bike was carrying about 5 pounds of leaf mulch iced to the frame by the time we came down.
It's lots of fun with the right attitude, but the ideal bike is an SS with flat pedals. Hear me on the pedals!

Was a mud plugging experience yesterday on the North Downs. Not awful once you adjust your attitude but I enjoy dry trails far better. I will wait until things dry out a bit .
Rode Leith and Holmbury yesterday afternoon covering about 25kms. Garmin said -4degC which meant in places nicely frozen. Problem is that the current mud & standing water was too deep to freeze. As a result, water then splashed onto the bike before freezing. Had to stop a couple of times to clear ice off the jockey wheels. No other problems though and good fun once you adjust your mindset.
