Looking to ride snowdon with a mate but want some suggestions for somewhere to stay.

Don't want to camp but happy for glamping pods or b&b,etc.

Many thanks.

Snowden ranger youth hostel. Book a twin room for some privacy. Ride from the door up the zig zag rangers start upto the top of the start of telegraph valley descent, down there, right on the FP and you are at the end of the horrible road climb up past and more or less the start of the llanberis climb.

Leaves you with a belting singletrack descent right back to the youth hostel which is a good bit that gets missed if you do the standard loop starting from llanberis. Yes a bit more climbing overall but breaks it up a bit with climb, descent, summit, descent all the way home.

Well I dunno about the hostel but the route advice is sound. I was hoping to go up on Saturday but the weather looks pretty gash.

They've been doing some work on the bottom bit of the Rangers, it's a bit more industrial than it once was!

Lodge Dinorwic is a really nice place.

Not stayed there but been in for coffee and cake loads of times.
Lovely place and people.

Opposite Snowdon next to the quarry, so easy route down to Llanberis and riding options if it really gets claggy (up to Marchlyn Mawr and down through the quarry or Moel Y Ci is fun).

Bit of a climb back up, but it's good for the soul.
