For me its a love - hate relationship - I hate that on the bike I can't get any traction up hills and have to walk but love the lack of traction going down hills for sketchy fun!

(Memo to self - don't post after beers)

Compacted to the point just before it becomes ice is very nice!

Right at the moment I walk outside the front door and it's just there. Normally though I fly to Norway or Austria to find it.

It's my favourite surface to ride on.

Needs some more freeze/thaw cycles for me.

Some of the compacted stuff round here is like riding on hard-baked mud, it's rock solid and really bumpy!
I like the powdery stuff where it flies up from your wheels and you can have plenty of comedy falls without painful consequences.

Love it.

Driving in it, walking in it, playing in and look of it.

Snow rocks.

The powdery stuff's great, and while all the mud's frozen there's much less cleaning and maintenance to do.

Local 'railway walks' have really good compacted and smooth surface at the moment

The stuff we've been getting here looks better for skiing than for riding, all powdery and soft.

Still good fun to ride in, but harder going than some previous times.

Love it too.
Prefer the slightly deeper powder stuff for the descents and the compacted stuff for the up.

Scary though but really good fun.
