Hello

I have read several of the lengthy for and against helmet threads, and don't want to re-ignite that with my first post for about two years. But I am wondering if anyone seeks out 'snell' standard helmets as opposed to 'EN1078'. Is there much of a difference? I ask beause just more or less anything seems to get past the euro standard eg this one has it without offering any apparent forehead protection.

Sorry if it's been discussed before - couldn't turn up anything on a search.

Thanks

IIRC snell is marginally higher. I doubt it is significant tho. there is an argument that snell leads to harder helmets that do better in testing but worse in the real world.

Haven't read all that myself, but I believe Snell are much, much tougher standards, and only 'proper' helmets (£25+, available in your LBS) seem to have it.

Without seeing it on a head it is not possible to tell the detail but the pink one seems to offer as much forehead protection as anything else - more to the side of the head and a lot more to the rear of the head than many?
