Has anyone got one, I’m 55cm which puts me right on the cusp of small and medium
Generally speaking I’m a small helmet in mostly all other brands bar giro which I’m a medium as they come up tiny
I can’t try both on due to local shop stocking smith so taking a punt online
Do they run big or small? Can Anyone offer any insights to fit please?
Definitely need to try one on IMHO. It was the most uncomfortable helmet I've ever tried, in a variety of sizes.
Yes, try it in, I found it one of the most comfortable helmets I have ever had.
Haha great start one extreme to the other
Ok comfort aside measurement wise was it right?
Anyone else any input for head measurement sizing being accurate at least?
In many helmet brands, I'm on the cusp sizing wise (doesn't help that I have a very long and narrow head to be fair!), but a Large Smith Forefront 2 is the best fitting helmet I've ever owned. I'm actually only about 59cm round, but probably the length of most 63's and the width of most 55's if that makes sense...
mboy, based on that I'm going to try a Smith. That could be an exact description of my bonce!
Is this fit specifically the forefront? Or a general characteristic of Smith? I'm after a roadie helmet too.
Not tried their road helmets so couldn't say I'm afraid. I've still got KASK Mojito's for road riding that are serving me well.
MBR review of the Forefront 2 criticising how narrow it is... Every other MTB helmet I've owned in years until I got my Forefront 2, I could waggle from side to side cos it had far too much space around the temples! Just highlights the importance of individual fit... 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks mboy
I’ll take a punt on a small, I’d prefer it to be tighter than loose wobbling around which most MIPS seem to really make seem a lot worse too, if it’s too tight then I can always send it back
I’m really struggling best helmet I had was a montaro giro but the odd constantly fell apart so gave up in the end
