On one have the smart r2 on offer at a good price. Anyone care to comment on whether or not it is water resistant as claimed as my experience with the R1 and water has been dreadful. I really want an exposure flare but it's treble the current price of the R2.

I have never had any water ingress issues with my Raleigh RSP 2 x 1/2 watt which I think might be similar.. you could always apply vaseline round the rubber seal to make it even more water resistant.
