I've decided to change set up from 3x9 to 1x10 so I have xt 10 speed cassette,hope narrow wide,saint 10 speed shifter and an slx shadow + 10 speed,problem is the mech will not extend up to the very top 3 cogs,should I be taking the spacers out of the cassette?

No should be fine. Slacken off the limiter screws on the mech. Or your mech hanger is borked.

Loosened the screws,works fine now,thank you,I did try loosening the screws before but nothing happened but perseverance and much felting and we have a result,feels nice and smooth now.
