has anyone ordered the new slx brakes recently, just want to know if they come in retail packaging or a clear bag, i'll need to shorten so ideally need a barb and olive. and yellow lego block.
i asked on crc but the question didnt meet guidelines :0)
and whats the warranty on them, is it 2 years same as XT m8000 as i've had one warrantied on another bike.
I bought some M7000 brakes from crc a month or so ago.They came in clear plastic bags and bubble wrap. They did come with spare olives and barbs. Not sure about the plastic block.
nip down the lbs for the barb n olive?
thanks simon, that not too bad then. if it wasnt for the clearance discount i'd have probably gone evans as they tend to send retail packaging.

did you walk in with the CRC ordered OEM brakes?
Im still to buy these down to £65 an end on ribblecycles and Evans now
WEEKENDER code gets them for £117 on ribble so will buy on there, maybe regret not getting the hope

Always surprises me how bloody expensive they are, considering they must cost thruppence-ha'penny to make - somewhere around £3 for the pair, IIRC. I always have a few in the toolbox and they are one of my standard "basket fillers" when trying to get free shipping on an order 🙂
Note: someone else asked the same question on CRC and they confirmed that they do indeed come with the barb and olive. Not sure about the yellow plastic bits though - I have a box full somewhere 🙂

i got the XT in the end, £25 more and it will give a current set i have some extended warranty.
the rear came with spare olive and barb and yellow blocks, the front came with out, but i have a spare set now. Thanks @P-Jay for the kind offer
