Less than 300 miles in and rear has already got some play ( no I don't use a pressure washer ! 🙄 ) Haven't had the "pleasure" of cup and cone for years ( can't be assed basically ) . So with a Maxle as opposed to QR is servicing the same ?

Try shimanotechdocs for an exploded view, should show you how they come apart. Sorry I can't be more specific, been a while since I stripped one, and do so many types it gets hard to remember what's what without seeing it.

Yes, the same, but you'll need larger cone spanners

and the maxle SLX hub has a reputation for being fragile. They eat their freehubs too.

3 freehubs in 6 months here........... Now in the spares bin........
