Thinking of making the move to SLX brakes, as my Avids both have sticky pistons. So I can either spend £20 per brake for a service kit or buy SLX for £90, I've already made my mind up and decided its not worth the faff.

Can anyone see any problems with me using my existing hope rotors? Aside from I'd need to buy new mount adaptors.

Thanks!

My Deore brakes variously have rotors from :

Hope
Kashima (yes I know!)
Shimano
Hayes
Tektro

No issues on any except the Kashima which is horrid, grabby and noisy. It exhibits these delightful characteristics with any brake caliper so I call horrid rotor issue.

Possibly,

In some cases the caliper can foul on the rotor rivets, however it's easily fixed with a file, its a quick and easy job but whether you want to do this to a brand new set of calipers is another matter.

I've had to file both my old Deore 525 and XT 770 calipers, its a common issue with Hope floating rotors.

Edit. If they're not floating they'll be fine.
