Are the brake pads on SLX brakes one unit or do you have to buy the whole unit with the fins attached, I only ask because superstar components sells them and on there pad identifier they have the pads without fins 
....S5 are the ones i'm after. ta

They come with or without fins. I've only ever used the ones without, mostly as the are cheaper and work well enough.

I'm hoping that the finned aftermarket ones come out soon, I have fins on mine at the moment I don't really need them but they look good.
