so is there a noticable difference in performance between the two?

i'm assuming the XT will be lighter, but will the extra £25 or so be worth it over the SLX?

Only the XT comes in medium cage form, I think.

The SLX has a stronger spring apparently.

Can anyone tell me if the deraileurs are 9 speed compatible or just 10 speed?
