I've just been taking to a friend who had a great holiday gliding in Slovenia. He seemed to think that there would be some good biking there.
Are there any MTB hotspots in Slovenia?
Yep!
Bovec/Kobarid/Soca Valley (icy cold water is a bit refreshing when it's 37C)
Maribor (ace cake hotel there)
Mezica (MTB Hotel and riding thru old mines)
almost certainly other areas too.
Cheap, and excellent hospitality too.
Don't know...but I loved the country. Supposedly they love the outdoors scene so I imagine mtbing will be big or getting bigger anyway
..their a bit touchy about cycling in the national park areas, but then no ones made a bike that can via faretta yet, totally agree with andytherocketer.
I loved the courtry I went trekking.
I think you would really need guiding or at least a good source of local info to find the good stuff
Slovenia you say?
