Any ideas to stop it creeping down. It's alu in an alu frame.

Degrease the tube & post then use carbon assembly paste on it instead of grease.
you won't need to clamp it anywhere near as tightly either.
This sorted out a mate's post on his EX8.

Is it a QR clamp? In fact no matter if it is or it isnt, lube the clamp bolt, & clamps interface with the seatube.

Ordered some carbon stuff. Have torqued bolt to specified amount to reluctant to whack it right up.

No one said whack it right up, the lube on the clamp & bolt will mean the clamping force onto the seat tube will go up because its allowing the clamp to work with less friction in other areas.
