I have a bruised shoulder after a crash I had in Swinley forest on Sunday: Does anyone know if it's okay to exercise (i.e. lift weights) with bruised muscles (might have bruised the bone too).

Brusing is bleeding of damged vessels and tissues.
I would weight till it heals and keep it moving if its not painful.
Why damage it more and be out for 3 months and just wait a week or till it stops aching and take it easy as you return to training etc.
Don't massage it-increases bleeding.
Just sleep well and make sure your protein levels are good.
If you are worried-see your GP. I would.

Cheers mate, kinda what I was thinking anyway. I did a few push ups last night to test it out and although it didn't hurt doing them, it ached afterwards.
