Problem i'm having is with slashed tyres thanks to the flint of the south downs. For the second time in the last 6 months, a slashed tyre during a downhill section ended up with tyre off incident and a rim that is knackered. Just wondering if using a UST or a double ply would help solve the problem. I'm using Maxxis High Rollers single ply. I know there's a weight penalty with either, but its getting a bit expensive now.

my tubeless conti's had some fairly big cuts (upto 2cm) some right accross the tread, they all sealed, but i run my tires realy low so wouldnt have liked to rely on the sealent at 40psi.
Some tires seem more prone than others, the contis got realy cut up, but ive not had problems with any other manufacturer.
