Excellent!

Oh, and closed roads with thousands of people having fun on bikes, even better!

Lots of interesting bikes on display out there, along with all sorts of retro-bling dragged out of the shed for the day!

Just returned from it with mrs pup and jnr pup.
Good fun if somewhat crowded - and quite a few idiot roadies showing off trying to cane it thru the crowds of kids.

A valid point re cobbles and re the (luckily very few) idiots!

Sadly didn't spot La Brook in person, but I did at one point find myself riding past a chap on a red, white and blue Pinarello. "Nice bike", I thought. Didn't look at the rider, but from publicity shots it looks [i]exactly[/i] like the bike Chris Hoy was on! Oops. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Sky News (so maybe a teensy bit biased!) are reporting the numbers as being an estimated 85,000 people on bikes!
