Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to the lads at Skyline cycles. me and some mates spent 3 days at Afan/Glyncorwg last week and went into Skyline a couple of times, we bought a few quids worth of spares and one of us bought a Thomson stem - we didn't spend a fortune.
The guys in the shop took a good half hour/forty minutes to dish out some decent advice to a couple of my mates ref bike purchase even though they knew they probably were not going to make a sale from it. Sadly a lot of shops either don't take the time or don't know their arse from their elbow, or both.
They actually advised me to buy cheaper replacement drivetrain parts than the more expensive option I'd first seen - they could quite easily have not shown me all the alternatives and made more money from me.
They gave us a load of free bike mags. Not 3 year old ones either !!
knowledgeable, friendly, professional and honest blokes who clearly work there because they love it. Just like a good ol' LBS
NICE WORK LADS !!
Yep, always been very impressed/pleased with the folks there! Top people.
Combine that with Luffy's epic Welsh Rarebit and the great trails, I do love Afan!
Agree, excellent in afan too.
Mark ,let me know next time you're heading up there. I'm only in Bristol and go quite a bit. Be good to catch up with you mate.
+1 here from today they gave me a good service sorting new rear and valve. Thanks guys - now if you had a compressor for pumping up USTs you would get extra marks ๐
Dobbsie, will do mate, hope all is good with you.
+1 always found them very helpful even when only buying small parts. also lent me a hammer ๐
All's well thanks mate. Got a spare room if you need to go on the lash/crash bud.
