[#1047313]

Finally accepted that I need some tuition and considering going on a skills course. I need to learn how to manual, jump and take drop offs properly, get assesed on where I'm going wrong, get some general tips and have some fun on the way too - any suggestions?

Cheers

These guys are ace. Very friendly, very encouraging. They focus on you getting the best out of the session. You'll be amazed at the stuff they can get you doing after a day's session. Huge confidence booster.

Mrd TJ did one at the hub at glentress run by the girls at the hub. Expensive but good. 3:1 pupil to instructor ratio

MB7 - we offer skills packages with bikes bought from us. Andy is a good teacher.

Highly recommended.

Where are you at Brunk?

The CTC system is very good - so whichever is nearest to you would be a good place to start. Jedi uses that skills teaching system, as do we in the Surrey Hills, Llandegla too - plus several others.

It wouldn't beat some 1-on-1 tuition, but the Dirtschool DVD is very good; helped me develop to a level of pretending-I-know-the-basics of tackling various features.

I can recommend Forest Freeride in Wales, great tuition and you get free accommodation too, and location is great:

Thank you MrsMoo ... 2010 website will be up at the start of Dec'. It'll have all 2010 course dates and full details of everything going on next year. 1 and 2 day courses, Girls Only weekends, Bivvy trips, guiding, etc.

Cheers
Stuart

Cheers everyone! Wasn't expecting such a good response - at work being forced to attend meetings (yawn) etc and just got back to the PC.

I'm in Bristol and would happily travel 2hrs for the sake of doing a course in a nice spot (might as well)

Will look at your suggestions and book something in - thanks again folks!

(Big Hair here I come............)
