True, but the 'seize the moment ' message is a powerful one, for all of us

It got a bit dusty in here watching it, especially when my wife's recovering from surgery to remove a tumour.

That was a powerful programme. What an incredible guy, outlook, wife, family and support network. Very special people.

Watched with my teenage kids, I think we were all humbled by Chris and Sarra and holding back the emotions in good old British style.

Carpe diem indeed

Time to put the phone down and get on with something!

Their thoughts on mountain biking were spot on. Takes you away from worries, have to have your mind on the task in hand. Perfect. It's why we do it eh? 🙂

I loved the bit where a bunch of middle aged blokes were hanging around a trail centre café after a morning on their expensive bikes. Everyone here has done exactly the same, but without 12 Olympic Golds.

He's looking well, and the guy who was 8 years on from an 18th month prognosis gave it some hope.

The trail centre bit made me smile. Imagine being at the next table and looking over to see a bunch of middle aged blokes with 12 Olympic cycling golds sitting next you.

Caught up with this last night. Truly inspirational roller-coaster, but I can't agree with a cupful of tom sauce on a bacon cob!

My eyes got a bit leaky watching that.   What a superstar - in every way.

It would have been a hell of a double take if you'd been sat having a quiet coffee after a ride and that lot came sat next to you!

Very good programme. Huge props to his wife too who came across incredibly well.

I've got to say, given 'our' collective demographic gender and age with prostate issues looming inevitably for many, and the man being in every sense a cycling superstar; this program hasn't had the attention here it probably deserves.

Well worth a watch if your feed up with xmas repeats on the tele box. Inspiring and uplifting and sad at the same time . Amazing positive attitude from Sir Chris and he's not bad on a mtb as well.

This is an absolutely brilliant watch.

To summarize: Go ride your mountabike in the woods with your mates. Fall off, do some skids, eat some cake.  It will quite literaly improve your life.

And that (amongst other things) is why you don't have numerous Olympic medals and world championships. I like a bit of ketchup on a bacon bap/roll/sandwich/cob but obviously I'm not using enough used to win medals and championships.
