are the discs made out of a softer metal or something, anyway is this a good or bad idea or will the discs crumble to dust before my eyes? ๐Ÿ˜€

I've been using sintered on resin only discs through the winter and its been fine. Organic pads are just rubbish in the mud and grind away far too fast. No problems all all and I'm now a convert to sintered and superstar which is the ones I tried.

I think the main concern is the heat build up. Ive only been riding on the realtively flat so far so I don't know if brake fade will be an issue.

Go for it especially if you're experinceing heavy wear with organics.

Been doing it for years. I've not been killed yet.

no probs as long as you're not doing long descents, it's a heat build-up issue so for most uk trail riding it's not a problem.
