I don't suppose anyone will come to Huddersfield to do some flatland?
Ok, it's ok, sorry to bother you...
[/trudges off a bit sad]
flatland is sooooo hard. my mate is a multiple flatland champ as well as ramp etc.. ๐
Stop it guys! I'm way too old and rubbish on a bike for bmx ridng but yearning for my old Rickman Freestyler that I bought in '85 (but nicked in 87). Still deeply hankering after a mid 80s GT performer....
Having said that could tailspin on flatland and aerial (just) on the ramps...I sense that a drunken ebay episode may result in a bmx arriving at my door!
do it!
Jedi - what's the score with guys the wrong side of 35 not being fantastic on a bmx & hanging out at a skatepark where some of the kids there are young enought to be my kids?! Went to Chicksands recently and the atmoshpere with the younger guys (who could really ride btw) was very friendly. Have 2 skateparks within a short drive from me and always check them out as I drive by. Basically are they gonna rip the wee out of an older guy who should know better?!
a few of us still get togetehr. i started again 2yrs ago after 25yrs away ๐
Nim - I'm the wrong side of 35 and ride down my local park. Some people are arses but the majority are very friendly. Do it! Its not as scary as you think and bloody good for your riding (but perhaps not your fitness)
Too far away for us I'm afraid.
If you're ever up in Scotland give us a shout and we'll take you down to our local...
here's a taster of what it's like... there's new DJ's outside too...
