Just a thought following on from the lightweight bike thread;
Is anyone interested in clubbing together to buy a digital balance to be owned by the collective?
I should think £50 would get something accurate enough so if we could get 25 people to stump up £2 (or 50 £1) we would be sorted.
Some people couldn't care less about weights but clearly some people do. It would also mean mean we are all working to the same yard stick.
It could simply be a case of having a list of people and each one is responsible for posting it (recorded) in order, on to the next. If some low life skips the country then at least we are only a couple of quid out of pocket.

Trust issues, given the current climate, will probably mean this idea is about as viable as nailing fog to the wall.
