I'm looking for some singletrack trails to ride in or near the Picos. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Keen to avoid 4x4 tracks.
Or perhaps a local would be keen for a ride / share some knowledge in exchange for a few beers? I'm currently based near Comillas.

I haven´t ridden there but I remember seeing a few guys with proper mountain bikes going up ahead of me on the cable car at Fuente Dé. That might be a good spot to start looking. I´ve been meaning to get back with the bike, it´s only a few hours up the coast from me.
A group of Spanish mtbers stopped us going off on a path to the left 2/3 up the road to the lakes of Covadonga. We were offroad touring and they said it was too gnarly for us. Might be worth looking there.

Treviso to Urdon valley down the old mineral track, not for the faint hearted as it's quite exposed in places. Look on the map and follow the zigzag track down. You'll need a driver as it's a one way only unless you carry your bike back up. Really worth the effort.
