[Closed] singlespeed skewer hub help??

Hello need some help with my rear single speed - got a new deore rear hub but the skewer is'nt long enough to fasten with the singlespeed tension stuff etc? Changed from bolt through measured my old through bolt and its 20mm length. Is there anything I can do? many thanks

These guys do an M10 solid threaded axle for use with Shimano (front) hubs:

Maximum length is 180mm though.

Otherwise Tubus (yes, the rack people) do an extra long quick release.

Thanks for that Andy - the axle is too short. But the Tubus option looks like it could work. Can pick one up for about £25, looked on the website but can't find the actual length of the qr ?

If you are flexible over a quick release, I can highly recommend the Halo Hex bolt skewers - they do an extra long one also.

Particulary good for sliding drop outs - wheel has been rock solid since I got them.

My tuppence..
