[#5322684]

Just having a look at all my various crank/BB/ chainring combinations in anticipation of my first SS build.

What I noticed is that the chainring bolts for my triple ring, wont hold the single ring as they are missing the spacer provided by the big ring

Do people use washers or different nut/bolts?

Or use the female half of rear hanger bolts.

fantastic, thanks, like the cut-down approach, but just noticed the shop 200m from me does actually do single chainring bolts 5 for £4.50

Might need to get a new BB anyway so sorted!

Check whether the bolts are steel or alloy. Alloy ones will not last in my experience.
