I appear to have killed my Formula freehub today after giving it quite a battering today at cwmcarn. I have been running a fat bottomed sprocket on it and until today it has been in service running a 10 speed cassette.
Is it normal to destroy an admittedly cheap freehub so easily whilst running a single gear?
Do I need to shut up and by a white industries freewheel for my screw-on dmr hub?

How tight are you running your chain?

Your freehub is ruining your single speeding, make haste to the Womens Institute and never falter again.

Have you destroyed the splines or the internals?

Internals rather than the freehub body. Chain is not too tight at all...
