Just checked out the prices @ CRC for new middle and outer rings...holy cow £90 just for the outer ring!!! WTF, that's almost as much as I paid for the whole crankset.

Any cheaper/longer lasting alternatives that would fit these cranks?

When my XT middle ring went i replaced it with a [url= http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Shimano_104_PCD_Deore_M510_4_Arm_Middle_Ring/5300004680/ ]Deore m510[/url] for a tenner. As for outer ring use a bash guard instead 😉

Looks to be, but I'm not sure about the inner & outer rings TBH.

I think only the middle was an issue with the m760 cranks. These are the top of the range ones, they do cheaper versions with less coatings.

I've used these and been more than happy with them.
