[#11616293]

My Bontrager wheels had some some special rim strips when new but these are buggered and I need to Chuck some tubes in my wheels for a few weeks before I upgrade the rims.

They are Comp Line 30. They won’t be going tubeless so just looking for the easiest solution that will work with tubes and be easy enough to get tyre on. Getting the tyres on with the Rim strips was quite a pain on tighter fitting tyres!

Just standard width stuff? Single or double wrap? Is it sticky enough?

Yep, it's actually better than most "proper" tape for tubes.

(Bonty rim strips are sent from hell tbh, why they're still doing it I have no clue)

I'd suggest 2 wraps of electrical tape. I punctured a tube last week after the tape wore through on a spoke hole after about a year.

Thanks, will get some today. The rim strips are such a pain to mount a tighter tyre too!

Do you just run a strip in the middle to cover spoke holes or do 2 wraps overlapping so go edge to edge of the rim?
