[Closed] Sidmouth MTB ers

Woodbury's cool, and there's East Hill, and Harpford Woods, and some of the valleys around Northleigh/Farway. Lots of good stuff in fact.
Also Haldon is close by, and Dartmoor is only 30 minutes drive away.

Some of the best riding in the SW round here IMHO.

ajan ...sounds like you know the area better than me ..i'd also be interested in tagging along sometime for any rides at east hill/harpford/northleigh/farway ...i've been in devon 6 yrs now and so don't know it like a true local!

Steve, woodbury common is the place that I was trying to think of last night.
Looking at Google maps, there are loads of woods in the vicinity, so It's definitely your job to find the trails for when the Muddy@rses invade Devon.

If you stand on the seafront facing the sea.. to your right will be a big mahoosive hill.. ride up that.. at the top turn right and head inland across Mutters Moor and through the woods..
or if you're feeling rebellious just pootle along the coast path which is really good fun in places but a little cheeky..

Ride up that hill!!!!, my car has difficulties getting up there!!!

Actually going to be living in Sidford, top of the Byres

I am in Honiton. Have been off the bike for a couple of months with an injury but going out in an hour or so for the first time. With a couple weeks under my belt i would be up for a group ride at woodbury or any of the other previously mentioned places. Good luck with the house move.

as of this week i'll be riding haldon forest most friday evenings from around 5pm onwards till exhaustion! if anyone cares to join me i'll post here before i go...probably park in the bird of prey car park or just outside the entrance to the main building on the road.

CarlP ...how can you park in the BOP car park when it was blocked off several years ago ?
