The velcro straps on my sidi dominators have lost their velcronicity and they don't stick down very well any more. I only use them for commuting now but they're still a great shoe and I'm loathed to replace them just yet.
Any solutions to making the velcro sticky again?

Get a roadie inner tube, old one for preference, and cut yourself a 0.5 cm elastic band from it by chopping across the tube.
Put your new elastic on the velcro and use it to secure the bit that flaps up, like using a loop to hold the end of a belt. The bit of traction from the band stops it coming undone.

Great idea crikey and will look far cooler than a post office elastic band ๐
