I'm looking to jey up my Ti hardtail a bit more and want some lightweight 100mm forks. SID Races can be had for £299 but that's a little too much.

Are there any alternatives around the £150-175 mark. Not interested in second hand.

in that price range for new, i cant imagine so

possibly find some rebas or manitou r7's for under £300, oh hold on i can feel a rant...

you have a Ti frame which will probably break and is probably no better than a second hand on-one and you want to skimp on your forks...

buy some sid's you cheapskate 😉 or some rigid carbon..

rant over, what forks you currently got?

That's £50 less than the SIDs, just buy the SIDs!

you could maybe get some Sid races cheaper from the states.

Other than that your not getting anything else at that price on parr with the SID.

If you can live with "older model" rather than 2nd hand then on one were doing the Reba World Cup (with the carbon crown) for £250- I found mine better damped and stiffer than the SIDs that I replaced them with, but they are heavier. Think they also have Races for a reasonable price.

The frame is an Airbourne Lancaster and I've got some low end Rockshox Toras on there atm. OK ok ok I'll buy the SIDs but it is going to be made well clear to the wife that you lot made me.

Bloody hell I am glad I took your advice. The SIDs have arrived and I cannot stop stroking them. Seems a shame to put them on the bike and get them all dirty.

Top top service from Merlin cycles BTW.
