[#2939535]

Just got back from a days uplift at AE and I highly recommend it. I'm no DH guru (to old and scared), and have a 160mm bike, so we mostly rode the new Shredder trail that then runs into the final part of Omega man. Just technical enough to challenge you to get better and better, big enough drops to scare you enough without being a full on DH track.
Its hard to find a DH uplift that isn't full on (except Bringewood, maybe Molfre) so I'd recommend this to anyone who just likes good descents at trail centers.

Uplift was by Tally from Uplift Scotland, great bloke who went out of his way to make it cracking day, we got around 11/12 runs in a day... FANTASTIC STUFF !

was this a private uplift during the week.

I enquired a couple of years ago about one but he caoldn't manage it.

If it is then that is great news.

FWIW there's plenty of riding at Innerleithen that most competent riders would be fine on, too... People get excited about "dh trails" but it's the same dirt root and rocks that we always ride on. It's maybe a wee bit testosterone fuelled on the bus mind!

Tally can do private uplift at both Inners and Ae - you need to book for 8 riders and he gets as many runs as you're up for between 9 and 5 (though he insists on a lunch break).

Pretty good value for a group of you. Give him a shout - think his number is on the upliftscotland.com site.

That sounds excellent. Drive up Thursday night, have a Friday of uplifts at Innerleithen and then Saturday do GT black/red/blue stuff before a quick blast of Inners XC on Sunday before the drive home!

Do you mind if I ask how much it was in total, be very interested in this (although at Inners)?

The Uplift Scotland website is down so can't get any info.
