To say that you think 29ers are "clown bikes" you do a fare bit of looking at 29er threads..

I can always do with a right good laugh.

It didn't really make any difference to me.

I just took the p1ss out of Don via text and email instead of on here. 8)

Your idea of a right good laugh is looking at something you claim not to like....

Your right, I don't like them. But it doesn't stop the fact that they are funny to look at.

I rode mine with a skinny front wheel today for the first time. Wow - talk about responsive in the twisty singletrack ๐Ÿ™‚ Much more so than my 26er. It's a myth that 29ers suffer from slow steering.

He's on his way home now.

Ask him about the taxi drivers in Moscow.

I think he got a bit scared. ๐Ÿ™„

Mine: at Devils Dyke today, on one of my favourite trails.

[img] [/img]

I was going to say - well I've never seen another Jones on the trails - but I bumped into Napalm, with his, on the Downs today - so I can't even say that.

However - I think mine is the only non EBB Fat Spaceframe out there, ah....... niche at last ๐Ÿ™‚

Best to talk to Jeff Jones direct - he's quite happy to discuss his bikes over the phone.

Why do some anti 29er trolls refer to 29ers as clown bikes?
I always thought clown bikes came with wee wheels tather than big ones, like this

i mquite open to the idea of a 29er though ive never tried one. got a feeling they wont suit what i like to do though which is shorter rides with plenty of nadge. i get they are more suited to distance, all day type stuff rather than hooliganism? be honest, can you throw them around like a tough trailbike?
