No KOMs mind but plenty of my local riding to explore just doing the Free Strava premium for a month and found the heat map to be very interesting 🙂

Rich - did you really ride down the A65 from the Lakes to ride around Gisburn? Or just leave Strava on in the car for some cheeky KOM action?

I'm sure I saw the link to the free trial on my strava page the other day, but can't find it now... 🙁
A good feature in strava is to enable heatmaps in the route builder feature. That way, if you aren't sure of some local routes, you can see what everybody else has been riding.
Not 100% sure if this is just a premium feature or not, but on the main menu choose 'Dashboard' and then 'My Routes'. On the new page click on the 'create new route' button. Click on the 'map settings' cog icon and enable 'global heatmap'.
