matt, the hole is for the boost chamber on the shock to fit into, supposedly. so it doesn't hit the tube. or something.

Presumably not for the Rocco though which seems to have plenty of clearance...

EDIT - oh, just spotted the linkage, so yes, the hole is necessary...

Yes for the Rocco, the biggyback goes through the frame on compression, its 7" travel. Clever job really as it means you can have a small chuckable frame with low tt. Takes a bit of getting used to, seeing your shock fly up between your legs ๐Ÿ˜•

Oooooh I like that Commencal. Wouldn't have minded one myself, but was a wee bit out of my budget to buy a new frame at the time.

Here's my "man bike" so to speak...

[img] [/img]

Cranks have now been changed to Saint and rims changed from the cheese soft DT to Mavic. Will probably get one of those i900 adjustable seatposts in the future when I've got some money, and possibly a 50mm stem for when I'm doing just DH stuff.

When you say "man bikes", are you referring to fat blokes going down hills on skill compensator's or blokes pushing 500 watts on a TT bike for 20 mins?

ouch - sweeping statement MTT, most DH'rs I know are actually very fit (in a non gay way). As for skill compensator... no a bike built for a job, just as an XC bike is built for a job

If you consider a 20 mins on a TT to be a man thing fair enough... Guess you always need one black sheep of the family

Spankmonkey - a man with a bike that hue of blue should be very careful when bandying about the word "jey". KnoworImean?

You're absolutely correct, bikes are built for a purpose, at what point does a 'jey XC bike' become a 'man' bike? Is it the addition of bigger brakes or a higher body fat percentage?

<tongue in cheek>

Keen eye for style with the white and red bits too - do you accessorise with a hankercheif in your back pocket?

Some of us actually use our bikes rather than just taking stylised pictures of them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah, good to see the word "steed" is not just limited to jey XC types then.

Saw a Session 88 such as guitarhero's above yesterday whilst out riding. My jaw didn't quite hit the floor, but it wasn't far off!

I WANT ONE!!! ๐Ÿ˜›
