Kuco, simonD,

Are they TiX's?
Assuming so, do you have any problems with slipping seatposts?
Mines just had new forks and discs, making it a very versatile beast. Smooth ride on knackered roads aren't they and quickly get you into trouble off road - plenty fun.

@turnerfan1 - I still have my islabike 531 cx in the loft, you're obviously a bit taller than me though.

Yes boxelder they are Ti, I've not had a problem with my post slipping and I quickly get reminded when I go off road that it hasn't got 5" travel and I just can't crash through everything ๐Ÿ™‚

A friend of mine has got one of those Scotts. I was surprised to find that the top tube profile is triangular, with the "sharp" bit pointing down.

It's extremely uncomfortable to carry as a result. WTF?

Properly in love with mine, only a couple of weeks old and first CX bike, but a real treat to ride.

I was going to buy that Felt, but i just couldn't justify the extra cost. In the future if i find some extra cash i may buy one, looks a beautiful bike!

Instead i spent alot less and got this:

Nope, never had any issues during the 6 or so years I've owned it.

Sorry if I sound a bit of a 'div' but are Cyclocross bikes basically racers with knobblier tyres? cant be as simple as that surely??

It's not. CXers have different geometry, bigger clearances, higher BB, canti brakes, stronger frames...

But at the end of the day the frames a frame, I've quickly changed the tyres and flipped the stem of my Lemond Poprad and done time trials on it quite happily. Oh I did change the rear wheel completely so I had a closer gear change to help with my cadence.
