.....road bikes.

Here's my new (few rides old by now) Raleigh SP Comp with a nice set of RS80's, 105/FSA Gossamer drive train & ITM Alutech finishing kit.

Whats your road bike of choice?

Saw plenty of nice shiny bikes in Alf Jones this afternoon and decided that I want the 525 quid single speed Giant. All that bling is wasted on me.

Yeah, bigG, going out for a ride in that? Wearing shorts was just silly, but riding on those roads is just suicidal. Top Rule #9 marks.

Calm down, Realman. It was brand new. I've dropped the stem since then.

Phew. Does look nice though, although maybe needs a completely white saddle? Or seatpost? Not sure.

Absolutely nowt if you have a good one, but mine's a shit (you get what you pay for) and is harsh as when on long rides. Steel will be more comfortable and it seemed better (not to mention cheaper) to reuse the frame I had.

Here is my baby :-

[IMG] [/IMG]

Have no problem with an ali frame, as said carbon, steel or ali the main thing is to get a good frame and good fit. Have done a fair few 100milers on it, Last Sunday just did the Phil Liggett sportive 94 miles with 2948m of climbing. Love that bike i do ๐Ÿ™‚

Further evidence of rule 9 achievement, (it it's needed) taken on the same day as the icy roads. Front brake frozen...

Singular prototype with grumpy cat (clicky makey biggy). Sam pointed out that the bar angle was all wrong and I did fix it before the first ride!

I like that Storck.

Here's my two, this one is 3/4Lbs lighter than my full suss
[IMG] [/IMG] Used for general riding around and touring

and this one for racing, a little heavier but a little faster

Bianchi - my favourite roadbike yet - not the most expensive/most flash of all the road bikes I've had but a) it's a Bianchi (blame Pantani) and b) it just rides brilliantly

Trek - this lives at my inlaws

And my cross bike (which is my winter road bike with a spare set of wheels)
