It's a pre '98 frame(seatpost slot faces rear)sprayed up in clockwork colours cos it was free by a mate got the brake bosses removed at the same time, built with more modern bits. It's my favourite bike I've owned for years.

1996 Classic. The tubes went "ding" when you flicked them.

19 would be OK possibly go down to a 17. I'm 6"1 and ride a 19 could probably go up but like it chuckable! The Green on for sale above is a 19. And will be a frame again after the BigDog today!

5'10" on a 17 - wouldn't go any bigger than that personally...

John Rowlands don't know if your still interested but i'm 5'7" and went for a 17" as I found they have very short top tubes. I found the 17" top tube to be similar to my old 16" On-One and personally rather have a slightly longer top tube and a shorter stem.

Wow ,some lovely P7's there 8)
Must admit to preferring the early ones without the massive travel forks though.

Mine's just stock at the moment I'd get round to getting my own pic. I've always loved the looks of Pace forks.

I'm 5' 6" and went for a 17" as it was recommended on the site that 17" was ideal for 5' 4" to 5' 8". I do find it a tiny tad too big and had to swap the spacers so they are above the stem to make it a bit lower. I also have to fiddle with seat post height depending on terrain but apart from that I absolutely love it and find that it loves eating the varied terrain of the NYM as much as the trails at Dalby. I also love having 5.5 inches of travel up front. My only quibble is a lack of lockout on the Vanillas which gets very annoying on tough climbs. I think the price jump is a bit unfair on the 2009/10 models though considering the downgrade in spec - i got mine for a grand with full XT groupset and now it's 1.5K with SLX and an XT Shadow rear mech. I don't think I'll ever need to buy another bike though - it does everything I want, feels great and looks lovely.
