This is my very own, taken at a most opportune time and place.

Trying to upload it on Orange website is proving problematic though, so if someone from Orange sees this, and feels it might be good enugh for the backpage of December's Singletrack mag, let me know and we'll find another way of getting it there.

battenbergman I don't know why but find your bike extremely alluring in yellow. I've just threaded through an outer through the swingarm. Piece of pee- a Clark inner brake cable- with the dongle end bit pushed through from the seat tube end- its almost immediate. Cut off the dongle- tape a regular inner to and pull through then feed the outer....you all probably know this tho!!

Does anybody race their 5's XC style? If so, do you use bottles or rely on small camelbak?

Never seen a yellow one. Not sure it's my cup of tea but it's got appeal! (Fools Gold for me - borin!).

The clockwork is my favourite by some distance. Quite like the yellow one too. Mine will be 5 next month, might get it a respray for it's birthday. Any ideas how much orange charge? Leeph?

Iainc, quality Golspie pics. Thats my local (comparitively) man made trail. I've ridden Coed y Brenin, Glentress and other Classics but (visitor centres apart) i think Golspie is as well put together as any of them. The view at the top is simply stunning as well.

Richpenny - Orange sent the frame to Bob Jacksons for the Clockwork colour, think it cost £200 if I remember correctly. Paint can chip easily though - get it fully covered in helicopter tape.

RichPenny. £30 for a powdercoat at any non-cycle related spray shop. I had my Chameleon resprayed Kawasaki green a few months ago and apart from heelrub- its exactly the same now. Any good Powdercoater can do the same job. I questioned the lad if he was right on the cost- he genuinely looked perplexed saying they sprayed metal fences, parts etc etc and if I wasnt happy with the price he could increase it- I stopped him there! Theres one in Oldham I want to track down that some STW'ers have used (the one I used was near Preston).

You pay c£200 and I bet circa £130 is profit/admin and £30 postage 😉

To be fair Hora, yours looks a bit gash compared to the clockwork orange.

😉

I set the image to 'small' as I didnt want anyone to be hurt/vomit/scare themselves soo early looking at the monitor 😆

twang - Sherwood Pines?

Yep, top of the (only just)downhill bit. That start ramp doubles the altitude I reckon. 😉
