Recently bought my first shaft drive bike - BMW K1300s. Bloody hell it's fast. Way faster than the Fazer 1000 i p/x'd.
It's got all the extras - abs, traction control electronic suspension adjustment, heated grips, quick shifter. Just added a BMC air filter and a MIVV carbon end can - sounds really nice.
Need to spend a few hundred quid to get my Cagive V-raptor 1000 back on the road.

Something a little bigger next year when I have some spare cash.
Um, ok...
First bike was this RM80 big wheel which I bought for £80 with paper-round tips at the age of 14.
[/img]
It went well, and I crashed a lot.
It's also on this pic, along with my first road bike, a TS125ER, then a CB250RS that I won a trophy for second place paint in a show in '98, and the TR1 I inherited after my Dad died in '98, with my first effort at making pipes (no laughing at the back, I was 18 and didn't know about preformed bends!)
[/img]
Haven't got pics of the KR1-S or FZR600 Genesis that passed through my hands.
Here's the Transalp I bought in '99
[img]
[/img]
Here's another of the TR1, in streetfighter stylee early '99 I would guess
[img]
[/img]
Then I bought and built a DR600 supermoto, this is at Cadwell in 2000
[img]
[/img]
Then I had a break.
Got back with a GPZ500, then a Speed Triple which I still have, but with a few tweaks, at one point I painted it yellow with an R90 fairing (lurking in one of the other pics.
[/img]
Firestorm I had for a while which went well but the small tank spoiled it.
[/img]
My £150 winter bike-
[img]
[/img]
The Guzzi V11 Scura that was lovely, but not the most reliable, though better than the Aprilia I had later..
[/img]
SR500 street tracker I built
[img]
[/img]
The Hayabusa I had for a while and had flat out twice
[img]
[/img]
The Caponord which put me off Aprilias for life
[img]
[/img]
And the Tenere
[img]
[/img]
which I still have along with the DR600 I'm building in a hot rod style
[img] [/img]
Sorry for the massive post...that's all the ones I have pics of and can remember.

CBR1000 for £150 😯 I thought mine was a bargain for £800 !
Loving this thread - some really ace bikes .
Post up a pic when you've finished the DR600 please shedbrewed.
Current commuter, done 14k since January.
Would absolutely recommend one to anyone who needed a high-speed long distance bike (safe and predictable) that can still filter at zero speed through narrow gaps.
Love the Garelli, I had a KL100 (80cc) at 17 - looked the same with the exception of the exhaust which ran on the o/s.
Forgot to mention, when I joined the forum, I had a Honda Hornet 600, hence the name 😉
Prior to that, Yamaha FZR400 Genesis Ex-Up.

The frame is actually silver.I messed around a bit with this pic. Loving that Kr1.Mmm.
Mine in better days... Was a prizewinner in its time, now frankly a bit ratty after a loss of interest and one winter too many.

It's SORN'd and under a sheet in the garage now, but hopefully it'll come back out. Still got a set of Busa pistons and a more recent set of GSXR forks in the garage, and a Dymag rear to match the front... Some day.

looking for a MZ 250 ts
How does a Jawa/MZ250 special sound to you?
I'm looking to sell it. Basically Jawa twin frame, MZ250 engine, homemade swingarm with twin hagon shocks run cantilver, Suzuki GT550 forks, GSX250 wheels, Dunstall cafe racer bodykit, BMW R90 fairing...

How are you finding the Tuono, I am thinking of swapping my Street Triple for one early next year.
Like the idea of more power and similar weight ?
Do you have all the fancy electronics on yours ?
Tuono's are great bikes... However... very 'Italian'... it's a lottery each morning you press the button. They're quick, powerful and nice though.
My Africa Twin, swapped for with a TL1000S 2 years ago for a change – kinda breathless / gutless, but all day riding position (esp. with the re-filled saddle) & off-road abilty make up for it. Hardly seen a road this year, but a brilliant bike for touring..
