[#1207990]

Just had my bike powdercoated in 'kawasaki' green and am wondering what colour finishing components will go well with it. Picking it up tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm thinking black will probably be best but im hoping red will go well as my hubs are red and i have a red seatclamp (clutching at straws possibly).

Black components will go with it. Not red. I'll show you-

My Evil, proper black hubs, looks lovely-

[IMG] [/IMG]

My Evil, some borrowed wheels with red hubs. Looks less lovely-

[img] [/img]

Oh, and my Norco. I have bright green pedals for it, and green lockon clamps but that's as far as I go.

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

Oh, both have green spoke nipples but that was an error because, being alloy, they just break.

Red and black!

[img] [/img]

Doesn`t really show it, but the hubs, pedals, head set and crank spider are red.

A mixture of colours is what you need. Don't forget the purple.

When brant was testing the ragley mmmbop there were some nice pics on here of one in green with a lot of white parts (as well as black), it looked really good. Not sure where to find it now though

EDIT: found it:

Yuck, green plus red is not sexy IMO. Stick with black, white, silver or maybe gold. Possibly Purple if you're going for a 'the joker' look but that would be pretty niche.

Blue goes ok with Kawasaki Green (like on Kawasaki MX and Enduro bikes when they had blue seats) but it doesn't go well with darker greens.
Whereas I think that red is good with "holly leaf" type greens (like holly and berries...)as long as it's only things like skewers and seat clamps and headsets, not stems and seatposts and hubs.
Just a few little red highlights.......
